Our mid-May trip to the east coast was a celebration of new life chapters.
Grandson Aaron graduated from high school, and Bill’s sister Ann recently moved into a senior living community in Virginia.
We enjoyed seeing Ann’s new digs and meeting the friendly neighbors. Ann joined their community “Olympics” parade, representing the pickleball team. She is a wonderful tour guide, already searching out good hikes to share with her new friends. The top photos show some of the places we explored: the beautiful Meadowlark Gardens, wildflowers along the wild edge of her community property, and lovely Colonial Fairfax, Virginia.
From Ann’s, we took the train from Union Station in Washington, D.C., to Newark, Delaware, where we celebrated grandson Aaron’s graduation, spent precious time with family, and reconnected with a dear friend.

Aaron was feeling very proud of a successful year, and he is looking forward to Delaware Tech in the fall. Bottom row pictures are the happy Mom and Grandmoms, Aaron chatting with a favorite mentor, and Aaron with his brothers. It was a warm and joyous family visit.
